Today, the Leap mount features an even stronger base with a forward lean to provide more room for magnifiers and chamfered side pockets for improved thumbscrew access. RKB Armory’s Opinion: Micro red dot sights, such as this Crossfire, have gotten so good in recent years that even the less expensive models are very high quality. Mounts are a different story. This Scalarworks mount is light, simple, and strong; which isn’t cheap. This is a really clever combination of affordability and quality. Also, this mount goes perfectly with a magnifier.
